Our client requires a suitably experienced beef cattle Property Manager for their 3000 acre cattle grazing property 20 klms from Scone on tar sealed road. Currently carrying 300 Angus breeders & 200 weaners, the role will require a ‘hands-on’ person to manage the property independently, utilising their own initiative from all aspects, as the long- term owners do not reside in the immediate area, however they are easily contactable by phone.
You must have: Excellent animal husbandry skills; An in-depth understanding of grazing management practices; Skills to prepare and sow both summer and winter forage crops; The ability to communicate effectively with Company management, caretakers, contractors and other business associates; sound record keeping and basic computer capabilities; Hold necessary ChemCert AQF 3 Accreditation; Own horses & dogs.
