Paradise Lagoons Campdraft theft

Queensland Police are seeking information in relation to a theft of clothing and equipment from the Paradise Lagoons Camprdraft last month.  Between May 3 and 4, during the night, unknown offenders allegedly broke into a western wear tent stall set up at the campdraft and stole nearly $2900 worth of clothing, wallets and equine equipment. Detectives from the Rockhampton Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) are appealing to the public to come forward with any information in relation to theft of the products. NQ steers missing

The Rockhampton Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) has advised that between February and March 2019, seven head of Brahman/Brangus Steers went missing from a property in Pauls Pocket near Proserpine. The steers were approximately 12 years of age ranging in colours from black, red and grey. The steers were branded on the offside (right) rump with ‘5M lazy P’ (see picture).The steers were also NLIS tagged in the offside (right) ear and had orange management tags in the nearside (left) ear. The Rockhampton Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that may lead to locating these cattle. Please quote reference QP1900508174.

Unlicensed driver, NVD breach and animal cruelty – Dunedoo NSW

The NSW Police Rural Crime Squad has reported that police from Dunedoo stopped a stock carrier on Bolaro Street on 4 June 2019 after they observed a rear door on the trailer open, exposing the stock to a risk of falling from the vehicle. A further inspection revealed the driver, a 57 year old female from Tooraweenah, did not have a valid NVD authorising the movement of the stock. The driver was issued infringement notices for non completion of a traveling stock statement and driving unlicensed for that class of vehicle. After receiving further information from the public in relation to stock falling from the back of the truck, the driver was also issued an infringement for “being in charge of an animal and failing to exercise control to prevent an act of cruelty”. While the majority of farmers are doing the right thing, police said those who fail to comply with regulations will continue to be targeted.
