The quality of the yarding improved notably with some excellent lines of feeder steers and heifers.

Trade cattle were in short supply with buyers struggling to precure well finished stock.

All of the usual export and domestic buyers were at the sale.

The reduced supply of vealers sold to weak demand. The pick of the vealers made from 320 to 420c/kg.

Yearling trade steers were few and buying competition fluctuated. The bulk selling at 340c to 428c/kg. The heifer portion sold 15c cheaper making from 320c to 355c/kg.

Feeder heifers 330 to 400kg made from 326c to 394c/kg. Lines of well bred steers 400 to 500kg sold from 338c to 418c/kg.

In the export sale most processors operated. Heavy bullocks jumped 24c making from 362c to 385c/kg. Heavy steers suitable for processors sold at 380c to 410c/kg.

The cow market sold to weaker demand with heavy cows softening 5c/kg. The better finished heavy types of cows selling at 290c to 312c/kg.

Heavy bulls sold at 285c to 302c/kg.
