Yarding 4850 Change +2100
Numbers were up by 2100 for a yarding of 4850. It was a pretty good quality yarding with large numbers of cows along with their weaner calves as the sell off continues. There were good numbers of yearlings to suit the feeders though there were only limited numbers of grown steers and heifers.
The few young cattle to the trade were firm with prime yearlings selling from 405c to 485c/kg. The better straight bred feeder steers were close to firm while the crossbred feeder steers were 5c/kg dearer. Feeder heifers were 8c/kg cheaper. Feeder steers sold from 407c to 514c/kg. Feeder heifers sold from 380c to 437c/kg. Young cattle to the restockers were firm with young steers selling to 546c/kg.
Limited grown steers and heifers were 10c cheaper with the prime grown steers selling from 394c to 452c/kg. Prime grown heifers sold from 380c to 420c/kg. Secondary cows were firm while the better heavy weight cows were 4c/kg dearer. 2 and 3 score cows sold from 290c to 362c/kg. Prime heavy weight cows sold from 352c to 382c to average 366c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 401c/kg.
