Grant Daniel Long Report
A larger yarding was presented at Dalby this week, with all regular feedlot and restocker buyers in attendance, although not all export processors were operating. Heavy cows received strong support, resulting in a 5c/kg lift in prices. In contrast, heavy heifers and bullocks averaged 6c/kg lower than the previous sale. Feeder steers and heifers followed similar trends to last week, with no significant change in overall price levels. The offering of restocker cattle was mixed in quality. However, well-bred lines attracted very strong competition and sold to solid demand.
