Dalby sale 11 Feb 2026: Cows and heavier steers lose 10-20c/kg

Beef Central 12/02/2026

Yarding 5886 Change -218

There was a small reduction of 218 head to 5886 at Dalby. Included in the lineup were 1135 cows and 309 bulls. Export buyer representation was not as good as the previous week with one major operator absent from the buying panel however the regular feed and trade buyers plus restockers were active.

Light weight yearling steers to restockers experienced strong support and feeder classes were 4c to 10c/kg better. A similar story with the yearling heifers with a number of classes showing a dearer trend. However heavy grown steers and bullocks lost 20c/kg. Cows lost a further 8c to 10c/kg on top of the reductions the previous week.

Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock made to 596c and averaged from 511c to 539c/kg.
