Elders and Nutrien-owned AuctionsPlus online cattle listings lifted 3pc this week to 15,423 head, while clearance dropped 16pc to 68pc.
All heifer categories showed solid price improvement on a c/kg basis while medium and heavyweight steers also lifted in value.
Steers again made up the largest share of the catalogue, producing an 87pc clearance.
A small offering of 303 light steers less than 200kg lost 36c/kg on last week to average 585c, clearing 88pc, while an offering of 2400 steers 200–280kg produced a near-total clearance slipping 3c to average 564c/kg.
Steers 280–330kg lifted 6c to average 548c/kg, but cleared only 74pc of the 1300 offered. Steers 330–400kg improved 9c to average 537c/kg, clearing 71pc of the 960 offered, while feeder weight steers +400kg rose 14c to average 526c/kg, clearing 91pc of the 834 offered.
Highlights included 64 Angus steers 6-7 months averaging 235kg from Yea, VIC, returning 639c/kg and destined for a buyer near Euroa, VIC.
From Mandurama, NSW, 36 Angus steers 6-7 months averaging 249kg returned 603c/kg and will travel to a buyer near Cowra, NSW.
Heifers recorded the strongest price gains. At the lighter end, a handful of sub-200kg heifers lifted 112c to average 640c/kg, while those 200-280kg improved 15c to average 477c, clearing 78pc of the 1100 yarded.
Medium weights 280-330kg cleared 78pc of the 1160 offered, lifting 35c to average 466c, while 330-400kg descriptions cleared 86pc of the 1400 offered. An offering of 445 heavy feeder heifers +400kg produced a total clearance, lifting 34c to average 474c.

Breeding females
Breeding female clearance remained subdued across most categories. Price trends were mixed, with NSM heifers and calves lifting $423 to average $2622, while SM cows rose $203 to $2152/head and PTIC cows lifted $150 to $2157/head.
At the other end, station-mated heifers lost $316 to average $1593, PTIC cows lost $725 to average $3250 and NSM cows and calves lost $272 to average $2324.
