Historic Jimbour House will play host to the Women of Lotfeeding event

A NEW non-profit industry special interest group, Women of Lot Feeding, is planning its inaugural gathering at historic Jimbour House near Dalby early next month.

A High Tea will be held in the picturesque grounds of Jimbour, located in the ‘heart’ of Australia’s biggest concentration of feedlots on Queensland’s Darling Downs.

The event will be held on Saturday 5 March. The grounds will be open at 12 noon for registration, with formal proceedings starting at 2pm.

A series of speakers from within the lotfeeding industry and the broader agricultural sector will make presentations, and the day will provide an opportunity to meet and network with like-minded ladies working in the lotfeeding industry.

Keynote speakers are Australian Lot Feeders Association’s first female president, Tess Herbert from Gundamain feedlot in NSW; Grassdale feedlot manager Jordan Peach, who was the 2012 ALFA Young Lot Feeder of the Year; and Susan Bower, head of Agribusiness for Westpac.

Dress code is Smart Casual and the $45 cost includes high tea foods & complimentary beverages

Tickets must be purchased by Friday 26 February for catering purposes. Click this link to reserve your spaces.

As a new organisation within the lotfeeding industry, Women of Lotfeeding has support from both ALFA and Meat & Livestock Australia.
