Dubbo retains top spot on NSW saleyard survey

Results from the NSW saleyard surveys, conducted by MLA’s National Livestock Reporting Service (NLRS) for the 2013-14 selling period, saw Dubbo once again secure the top position, with 271,452 head yarded (up 41pc year-on-year).

Carcoar (CTLX) placed second, yarding 181,218 head, while Wagga Wagga was close behind to retain third position with a total of 180,777 head.

Gunnedah and Tamworth placed fourth and fifth, respectively, yarding 118,258 and 114,352 head each. Forbes came in at sixth, two places higher than last year, totalling 93,284 head. Casino was only marginally lower, taking seventh position at 92,984 head, while Inverell, Armidale and Scone rounded out the top ten.
