A pair of cold fronts brought moderate falls to western Tasmania at the start of the week, while a cold front tracked across southwest Western Australia, producing moderate falls mid-week.

Past seven days: Rainfall was recorded in the southwest quarter of Western Australia, far southeastern South Australia, southern and northeastern Victoria, the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, and western and northern Tasmania.

In the first part of the week, a pair of cold fronts swept across southeast Australia, bringing widespread light falls to southeastern South Australia and southern Victoria, and moderate falls to western Tasmania, northeastern Victoria and pockets of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales.

Around the middle of the week, a strong cold front and associated cloudband approached and tracked over southwest Western Australia, and produced widespread light falls across the South West Land Division and the Gascoyne district, with heavier falls along the southwest coast. The cold front tracked across the Great Australian Bright, and brought light falls to western Tasmania as it moved across that State.

At the end of the week, another cold front tracked across southeast Australia, with moderate falls in southeastern South Australia, and parts of southern Victoria and western Tasmania.

Rainfall totals in excess of 50 mm were recorded along the southwest and southern coast of Western Australia, and in western and northern Tasmania, including the highest weekly total of 112 mm at Queenstown in western Tasmania.

Rainfall totals between 10 mm and 50 mm were recorded over much of the South West Land Division and far southeastern Gascoyne District in Western Australia, far southeastern South Australia, in southern and northeastern Victoria, the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, and western and northern Tasmania.

Little or no rainfall was recorded in remaining parts of Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia away from the southeast coast, New South Wales except in the Snowy Mountains, northwestern and eastern Victoria, and eastern Tasmania.
