Weekly rainfall update + rainfall outlook 16 June 2025

COLD fronts and associated low pressure systems and troughs led to scattered rainfall and storms across southern parts of Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and eastern New South Wales.

Weekly rainfall totals of 10 to 50 mm were recorded in patches across the south-west of Western Australia, southern coastal regions of South Australia and in the south-west of Victoria and Tasmania.

Early in the week, a low pressure system in the Tasman Sea produced scattered showers along the New South Wales coast, eastern Tasmania and southern and eastern Victoria.

Weekly rainfall totals of 10 to 50 mm, and locally higher were recorded across coastal regions of New South Wales, eastern Victoria and Tasmania.

The highest confirmed weekly total (at a Bureau gauge) was 82.4 mm at Jervis Bay (Point Perpendicular AWS) in New South Wales, which included the highest confirmed daily total (at a Bureau gauge) of 50.8 mm in the 24 hours to 9 am on 14 June.
