A LOW pressure trough brought humid and unstable air to coastal New South Wales and south-eastern Queensland, with showers and thunderstorms resulting in weekly totals of 25–100 mm and locally higher totals along the New South Wales South Coast.
Weekly rainfall totals of 25–50 mm were recorded in the northern Kimberley of Western Australia and adjoining areas of the Northern Territory from storms overnight on 6 November.
Isolated weekly rainfall totals of 10–25 mm were recorded in other parts of northern Australia from storm activity.
Weekly rainfall totals of 10–25 mm were recorded in western Tasmania and parts of southern Victoria from the passage of a cold front at the start of the week.
Little to no rainfall was recorded during the week elsewhere in southern Australia.
The highest weekly total (at a Bureau gauge) was 183.2 mm at Bellambi (New South Wales), including the highest daily total of 154.8 mm in the 24 hours to 9 am 5 November.
