SEVERAL low pressure systems moved across southern Australia during the week, resulting in widespread rainfall totals up to 10 mm across the south-west of Western Australia, south-east of South Australia, southern parts of Victoria and eastern Tasmania.
Weekly rainfall totals between 10 to 50 mm were recorded across most of western Tasmania.
A low pressure system and trough developed off the New South Wales and Queensland coasts. Weekly rainfall totals up to 50 mm were recorded across the central and northern coast of New South Wales, and isolated rainfall totals greater than 100 mm were recorded in a small pocket of the mid-north coast.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms across northern Australia generated weekly rainfall totals between 10 to 25 mm.
The highest weekly rainfall total was 173.0 mm at Mooral Creek (The Den), New South Wales, including the highest daily rainfall total of 136.0 mm in the 24 hours to 9 am on 27 October.
Most of Australia received little to no rain during the week.
