Webinar to explore reproductive disease management in cattle

Beef Central 11/09/2024

Reproductive disease management can be easily overlooked within a beef cattle enterprise and it requires appropriate management to minimise the impacts on productivity and profitability.

Join University of Queensland animal science Professor Mike McGowan for this upcoming Beef Connect webinar when he discusses:

  • The management of the two venereal infections – vibriosis and trichomoniasis
  • The major viral cause of reproductive loss in beef herds – pestivirus (BVDV)
  • Leptospirosis – a disease that can affect both cattle and humans.

Among his many contributions, Prof McGowan, from UQ’s School of Veterinary Science, was a lead author of the industry’s Cash Cow project.

The webinar takes place on Tuesday 17 September from 12:30pm AEST
