Webinar: Strategies to increase the profitability of extensive beef businesses

Beef Central, 22/06/2015

THE findings of the Northern Beef Report show that there are some beef businesses that are currently highly profitable. These businesses are able to provide for the needs and aspirations of their owners now and into the future.

They are, however, in the minority. There are significant opportunities to improve the performance of extensive beef businesses across the northern industry.

So what can you do to improve the performance of your business so that it can provide for the needs of your family?

Readers are encouraged to register to join a free one-hour webinar exploring this topic, being held at lunchtime this Wednesday, 24 June. Access is via your farm computer or mobile device in the comfort of your home or office, or while on-the-go.

The webinar is brought you by BeefConnect, an alliance between Beef Central and FutureBeef.

During the webinar, agribusiness consultant Ian McLean will describe strategies that can improve the performance of extensive beef businesses. He will detail some of the key findings from the Northern Beef Report – in particular, what determines the performance of a good beef business as outlined in the “Improving the performance of northern beef enterprises” booklet.

Mr McLean works with beef producers across northern Australia where his focus is to help them understand and improve business performance. He was the lead author of the Northern Beef Report and leads the delivery of the Business EDGE workshop across northern Australia.

During the webinar there will be opportunities to interact and ask questions.

Join Ian McLean (Bush AgriBusiness) along with hosts Jon Condon (Beef Central) and John James (FutureBeef) in Wednesday for the one hour program, from 12.30pm AEST (Brisbane Sydney Melbourne, Hobart) 12 Noon (Adelaide Darwin time) 10.30am (Perth).
