THE dramatic turnaround in seasonal fortunes in large parts of eastern and northern Australia since June has prompted the Beef Connect alliance to organise an informative 30-minute webinar next week designed to guide producers now in recovery-phase through the decision-making process.

Beef Connect represents an alliance between Beef Central and FutureBeef, to deliver useful, topical management information to producers using the webinar medium.

While this webinar is primarily targeted at circumstances in Queensland, it will include content of interest to producers right across northern and eastern Australia.

The webinar will be held on Thursday 8 September from 12:30pm AEST, allowing producers to grab a lunchtime sandwich and a cup of tea, and sit down for a few minutes to watch on their farm computer or tablet.

Presenter Craig Turner from the Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority (QRAA) will help participants learn about:

• financial programs available to assist with restocking or recovery from dry times through managing existing debts
• opportunities to assist with refinancing an existing concessional loan
• tips and tools will be discussed to ensure producers do not self-assess and to encourage them to access programs that may be able to assist in rebuilding their enterprise.

This event is for anyone in Queensland involved along the red meat supply chain including producers, processors, brand managers, supply chain managers, agents, consultants and consumers.
