Northern Territory and Kimberley beef producers will get the chance to catch up on the latest in local and world-leading research and technologies for the northern beef industry at the upcoming Kidman Springs field day being staged from 20-21 August.
Being held at the Victoria River Research Station, the info-packed BeefUp forum will be staged by MLA and the Northern Territory Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade.
Prior to the forum, a BredWell FedWell workshop will be held at the same venue on August 19.
Across all three days, attendees can expect to:
- Gain insights on improving livestock, land and business performance.
- Connect with other producers, advisors and researchers.
- Hear about how new practices and technologies are being used on-farm in the nort.
- Develop a customised breeding plan for their cattle enterprise aligned to profit drivers.
- Learn about feeding animals well to achieve objectives and maximise genetic investment.
- Find out about the programs, tools and resources available.
Beef producers in the NT can look forward to a regionalised program with the following features:
- Discussions and insight into the current live export markets.
- Updates on the current research and development outcomes and opportunities.
- Information about the nutrition opportunities available for cattle producers.
A paddock tour of the Victoria River Research Station and legume demonstration sites will be included in the program.
