Coles retail ready manager Sascha Hann with her ‘One to Watch’ award

COLES red meat supply chain staffmember Sascha Hann has been crowned as the inaugural Australian “One to Watch” award winner, announced during the Meat Business Women’s Power of You conference in Melbourne last night.

Ms Hann, production manager for red meat at Coles’ retail ready operations, distinguished herself by championing workplace gender inclusivity and flexibility.

Her innovative contributions to leadership initiatives and work-life balance solutions underscored her commitment to gender diversity and operational enhancement, securing her the “One to Watch” award.

Stacey McKenna, chair of Meat Business Women Australia, said Sascha embodied the innovation, leadership, and passion that the One to Watch award stood for.

“Her work in promoting gender inclusivity and efficiency within the meat industry sets a benchmark for future leaders,” Ms McKenna said.

“We’re proud to support her journey and excited to see how she uses this recognition to further drive positive change.”

The award comes with a $5000 prize, courtesy of sponsor, Marel, to support Sascha’s personal and professional development.

Sascha plans to use the investment to further her knowledge and leadership skills, contributing to her goal of driving innovation and excellence in the meat industry.

She said she was “filled with optimism for the future of the meat industry, with the many advancements in technology, increased focus on sustainability and evolving customer preferences, there are boundless opportunities for growth and transformation.”

“I intend to utilise the award to further my studies in business, to pursue my goal of achieving a senior management position within my workplace and also to help navigate through new frontiers within my career.”
