Young beef producers point bullbars to Roma

Beef Central, 08/11/2013

The Future Farmers Network will hold the ninth annual Young Beef Producers Forum in Roma next Thursday and Friday, November 14 and 15.

The YBPF is a two day conference focused on providing educational, networking and capacity building opportunities for under 40 year olds with an interest in the beef industry.

Now in its ninth year, the YBPF aims to inspire young beef producers to make a difference in all aspects of their lives, including on-farm, off-farm, family, personal and business related areas.

This year’s theme is "Thinking outside the square".

Speakers include Richard Rains from Sanger Australia, Zac McInerney from Scarbah Angus, Robert Pekin from Food Connect, Grahame Rees from KLR Marketing, Nikki Thompson from InnerCircleWork; Lisa Cotter from Cattle Council Australia (CCA); Terry Nolan from Nolan Meats; Ian McConnel from the World Wildlife Fund.

The event will also feature a dinner and auction, property tours, the Future Farmers Network AGM and a meat cutting demonstration by Graeme Ware from Ladbrooks Butchery in Roma.

The event is followed on Saturday, November 16, by the popular annual Roma Cup race meeting.
