MORE than 300 people gathered in Roma this morning for the opening events of the popular annual Young Beef Producer’s Forum, which is marking its 20th anniversary this year.
The forum has grown from a small, locally-run event into an annual powerhouse of educational and networking opportunities for 18 to 35-year-olds working across all levels of the beef industry.
Following a visit to Australian Country Choice’s Brindley Park Feedlot the 2024 Forum conference kicked off this morning with speakers including Sally and Angus McGilvray, Womblebank Nationals leader David Littleproud, MDH’s Julie McDonald, Elders’ Lisa Hewitt, and Rabobank’s Angus Gidley-Baird.
The forum will also feature addresses from First Time Farmer Kaitie Nash, and Cam Griffin’s The Grazing Game podcast, and Eustie Hill, Tooloombilla Partnership.
