JOB transitions in agriculture traditionally reach their peak during the annual Christmas New Year period, and there’s been a noticeable rise in recruitment listings on Beef Central’s AgJobs Central platform heading into November.

The range of job opportunities on offer has never been wider, with more than 40 new listings added over the past fortnight falling into six or seven main categories, covering beef production, processing, lotfeeding, agribusiness services and commodity trading.

The current vacancy fields include:

• Livestock and farming operations roles
• Management graduates
• Commodity trading and sales
• Feedlot milling, livestock team and pen riding roles
• Processing operations and middle management
• Agribusiness services
• Environmental roles
• HR and workplace health and safety
• Software and technical roles.

Some, at least, appear to be looking for a January/February start in 2025.
