Recall notice issued for Polaris Ranger Diesel 1000 side-by-sides

Beef Central, 12/11/2018

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has issued a recall for Polaris Ranger Diesel 1000 side by side vehicles produced between 2016 and 2018, citing a potential fire hazard.

The ACCC recall notes that certain MY2016-2018 Polaris Ranger 1000 Diesel vehicles may have an improperly routed parking brake cable, which could make contact with the electrical harness and cause premature wear.

Premature wear to the electrical harness may potentially create an electrical short and may pose a fire hazard.

The ACCC is advising owners or users not to operate these vehicles until inspection and/or repair has been completed by a Polaris Dealer.

Polaris will write and notify all affected consumers of required action.

Owners are urged to contact their local Polaris dealer to schedule an appointment to have inspection and/or repair completed.

For further information, consumers can contact the Customer Service Department on 03 9394 5671, or contact their local Polaris dealer on 1300 654 142.
