Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a highly contagious emergency animal disease and an outbreak could cause major production losses and seriously affect Australia’s international livestock trade. In this presentation, join Dan Burton (Senior Inspector, Biosecurity Qld – DAF Blackall) when he discusses his recent Nepal Real Time FMD experience. During the one week visit he was able to work with real life cases of FMD in the field and has developed a comprehensive presentation that highlights the importance of producers to be observant when it comes to possible disease issue/s in their herd and/or flock, or any other cloven-hoofed species.
