THE next location for Australia’s premier livestock export conference, LIVEXchange, has been announced, with the industry set to gather in Perth this time next year.
The conference is run by LiveCorp and the Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council (ALEC) and moves around key livestock export hubs. The 2025 event, being held on 26-27 November, is being hosted by the Western Australian Livestock Exporters’ Association (WALEA).
LiveCorp Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wayne Collier is expecting around 400 delegates from across cattle, sheep and goat supply chains.
“LIVEXchange brings together livestock exporters, farmers, suppliers and service providers from all over Australia as well as importers and other international delegates.
“We have two days of informative, thought-provoking and inspiring speakers along with trade stands and several social events to provide plenty of networking opportunities,” Mr Collier said.
ALEC CEO Mark Harvey-Sutton says WA is an integral part of the industry, from sheep out of Fremantle to cattle out of Broome.
“Despite the challenges industry has faced in recent years – including high livestock prices, temporary trade disruptions with key markets, and legislation to ban part of the industry – we’re resilient and demand for quality Australian livestock is strong and increasing.
“LIVEXchange is a great way to showcase the role of livestock exports in the wider agriculture supply chain and the industry’s contribution to communities both here and overseas,” Mr Harvey-Sutton
said.
WALEA Chair John Cunnington says the conference will be a celebration of the past, as well as looking to the future.
“LIVEXchange 2025 coincides with 50 years of WALEA, and we’ll take the opportunity to reflect on the growth and diversity of the trade over its history.
“Australian livestock provide meals to people all over the world, often in developing countries where good nutrition and food security are not always assured. The industry’s also an important market for our farmers.
“We look forward to welcoming anyone interested in a strong and sustainable industry to Perth this time next year, to learn from each other and make connections to help continue making a positive impact,” Mr Cunnington said.
LIVEXchange is being held in Perth on 26-27 November 2025. Sponsorship opportunities are now available and registrations will open in the new year. Details at livexchange.com.au
