New era starts, as Nutrien says goodbye to Landmark and Ruralco identities

Beef Central, February 4, 2020

Hundreds of legacy Landmark and Ruralco agency businesses across Australia are changing their signage and uniforms to reflect the new merged brand, Nutrien Ag Solutions.

The brand rollout heralds a new era for Australian farmers and graziers, the company said, with the combined business working to provide access to global research and development, innovative technology and trusted expertise, to help customers grow their business.

Nutrien Ag Solutions is the new name for the combined business that was formed late last year when the Ruralco and Landmark businesses were brought together.

Some locations have already transitioned to the new brand and the green, black and white colour scheme, with the balance of corporate-owned stores to make the change throughout 2020.

Nationally, Nutrien now has more than 4000 staff across a network of around 360 corporate-owned stores, 320 independent rural supplies retailers, and a stable of joint ventures in partnership with local management, plus a suite of other businesses.

The new brand name reflects its Canadian parent company, Nutrien, and its ag retail operations in six other countries, positioning the Australian business as part of a global agricultural powerhouse.

Managing director Rob Clayton anticipates the new brand will become the retailer and agency of choice for thousands of farmers.

“We’re excited to officially launch our new brand and I’m looking forward to Nutrien Ag Solutions becoming a recognised leader of Australian agricultural services in the coming months and years,” Mr Clayton said.

“We are proud of our legacy businesses and will maintain the trust and relationships that growers have built through Landmark and Ruralco over many years.”

“During the brand rollout, providing exceptional service to our customers will remain our number one focus.”

Mr Clayton emphasised Nutrien’s commitment to sponsoring community organisations and events, and said this wouldn’t change under the new brand.

“Supporting local communities was a huge part of the legacy businesses and we are proud to continue that as Nutrien Ag Solutions.”

Shame that corporate mumbo jumbo destroys so many names with tradition.
Nutrien sounds like a fertilizer company.
I joined Dalgetys over 50 years ago, was proud to work for a company with so much tradition.
Now, it appears that history and tradition no longer matter.
I fear that I appear as a curmudgeonly old
f—t with these words but am disappointed
that business reputations built up over decades no longer matter.
I will head off and listen to some good OLD music. !!!
