The Federal Government has announced $12 million in funding for Beef Australia to support the Beef 2027 expo in Rockhampton in just over two years’ time.
The investment doubles the level of Federal funding support for Beef Australia.
Beef Australia is the country’s premier beef industry showcase, held every three years in Rockhampton.
It brings together the beef industry from across the country and around the world.
Last year’s week-long showcase, Beef2024, generated a value-added impact of $94.5 million for the economy, attracting trade delegations, genetics buyers and multinational companies.
The Beef2024 Handshakes Program showcased 149 businesses and facilitated over 200 business meetings, generating millions of dollars’ worth of business with Australian companies
Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Julie Collins, said beef is Australia’s most valuable agricultural export worth more than $12 billion a year.
