The second sale of the year showed a notable uptick in numbers, largely driven by dry hot conditions. A significant portion of the offering comprised of secondary stock suiting lot feeders and restockers. Throughout the sale, competition varied and so did prices, with coloured cattle and crossbred types facing some discounts. Restockers were active, drawing interest from locations such as Gippsland, Toowoomba, and northern NSW, in addition to buyers from the local region.

Lightweight steers returning to the paddock averaged $1,095 per head. For lighter weight feeder steers in the 330-400 kg range, prices fluctuated significantly, selling between 400 to 485c/kg. Medium-weight steers fared a bit better, selling for 400 to 505c/kg, which resulted in an average price of $1,949 per head. Feeder heifers were well supplies with quite a large number under 300kg. Feeder heifers 330-400kg sold to weaker demand selling from 398-470c/kg. Medium weight feeder heifers made from 370-472c/kg. Trade steers and heifers in the 400-500kg bracket sold at prices ranging from 390 to 500c/kg.

On the export side, not all processors were active, and heavy steers and bullocks sold for 440-497c/kg. Heavy cows were well supplied, leading to prices ranging from 385-415c, averaging out at 401c/kg. Leaner cows weighing under 520 kg attracted more buyers, selling for between 300-385c/kg.
