Cattle numbers lifted and the quality improved with fewer light and secondary cattle. There were good numbers of weaners and feeder steers and heifers and equally as many prime trade cattle although buyers were purchasing a lot with weight and condition. Grown steers and bullocks were well supplied and there were plenty of prime grown heifers. There were 1370 cows penned and the quality was good with the bulk heavy weights.

Restocking steers were dearer with a rally mid-way through which had weaners reaching 574c for steers and 488c for heifers. Medium weight feeders were dearer on average selling to 544c before averaging 486c/kg, heavy feeders were firm selling between 440c and 522c/kg. Feeder heifers were firm to slightly dearer, with medium and heavy weights mainly sold between 420c and 468c/kg. Trade cattle ended up slightly cheaper with heavy trade steers 480c to 514c and heifers 440c to 480c/kg.

Grown steers and bullocks sold mainly between 440c and 490c for the prime lines and lighter weights to feed sold to 509c/kg. A good run of prime heavy grown heifers sold from 438c to 474c/kg. Heavy cows averaged firm but there were some sale well above the average with the heavy weights selling from 360c to 433c and the lighter weights averaged 390c/kg which was 12c stronger.
