Yarding: 2218 Change: -1877 (two weeks prior)

A short but sweet sale at the Roma Saleyards saw a price jump across all categories coming off the back of a week’s hiatus from the regular Tuesday sale.

Just under 2200 head of cattle were yarded, with all regular processors, backgrounders, and lotfeeders present and bidding.

Several quality lines of steers and heifers were snapped up by an active buyer, the laneways buzzing with vendors and families throughout the morning.

The market improved across all categories.

The yarding featured cattle consigned primarily from the local Maranoa supply district, including Mitchell, Wallumbilla, St George, Taroom, Glenmorgan, Charleville and Injune.

The Roma Saleyards community continues to think of our neighbours to the west as they continue to battle the effects of flooding in their communities.

The quality and selection of cattle on offer once again showcased Roma Saleyards as the marketplace of choice.
