Yarding 2442 Change -1758

The first sale for 2023 at Roma attracted a relatively small number 2,442 head. Cattle were drawn from Western districts as well as the local supply area. A fair number of restockers and feeder buyers were present and operating, and small panel of export processors were very active in the market. Most classes of lightweight yearling steers and heifers to restockers were cheaper however the better quality lines were the least affected. Yearling steers to feed could not maintain the levels of last year. However the better end of the yearling heifers to feed experienced very little change in price.
