Yarding: 5313 Change: -2182
While the number of cattle yarded at this week’s sale was down in comparison to last week, the number of people who filled the laneways was not; with the regular buyers, feedlotters and backgrounders in attendance, competing for over 5,300 head of cattle.
This week once again saw the yarding drawn from many areas across Queensland, further solidifying the Roma Saleyards as being the marketplace of choice.
Cattle were drawn from the local Maranoa supply district including Injune, Muckadilla, Mungallala, Surat and Yuleba, as well as the western regions of Boulia, Blackall, Longreach and Winton.
Cattle were also drawn from as far afield as Julia Creek and Mount Isa.
