Numbers continued to ease, with cattle drawn from a wider supply area and a good buyer panel was present and all were operating.

Steers continued to dominate the yarding and the overall quality of the yarding was good, with quality lines selling to firm demand.

Medium weight yearling steers under 330kg improved from 5c to 20c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers under 400kg increased from 13c to 19c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers over 400kg to feed eased by 6c/kg.

Light weight yearling heifers under 280kg eased from 5c to 10c/kg. The majority of the medium weight yearling heifers under 330kg increased from 2c to 20c, while the medium weight yearling heifers under 400kg declined from 1c to 13c/kg.

Grown steers increased from 11c to 23c/kg.

Heavy weight 3 score cows improved by 4c, while heavy weight 4 score cows saw improvements of 5c/kg.

Medium weight yearling steers under 330kg to feed or background sold to 305c to average 290c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers under 400kg to feed sold also sold to 305c, averaging 294c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers over 400kg to feed made to 297c to average 290c/kg.

The largest sample of light weight yearling heifers under 280kg to restockers sold from 254c to average 229c, while medium weight yearling heifers under 330kg to restockers sold from 253c to average 246c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers under 400kg to feed sold from 242c, to average 241c/kg.

The largest number of medium weight grown steers sold to a top of 289c to average 269c, with a good sample of grown heifers under 540kg selling to 269c to average 247c/kg. Medium weight 3 score cows sold to 229c, averaging 218c, while medium weight 4 score cows made to 245c to average 244c/kg.

Heavy weight 3 score cows made to 233c to average 225c and heavy weight 4 score cows sold to 242c to average 242c/kg.

The best of the heavy weight bulls made to 278c, averaging 257c/kg.

Weaner steers under 220kg topped at 296c/kg and averaged 248c/kg, weaner steers in the 220-280kg range reached 286c/kg and averaged 268c/kg.

Steers in the 280- 350kg range reached 305c/kg and averaged 286c/kg, and steers in the 350-400kg range reached 305c/kg and averaged 294c/kg.

Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at 298c/kg and averaging 281c/kg.

Twatty Pastoral, Piastre, Quilpie sold Brangus cross steers to 305c/kg, reaching a top of $1,209 to average $1,049.

Whitton Cattle Co, Myrtleville, Injune sold Charolais cross steers to 305c/kg, reaching a top of $1,071 to average $998.

GS & CJ White, Marionvale, Surat sold Santa cross steers to 303c/kg, reaching a top of $998 to average $998.

Boxvale Cattle Co P/L, Boxvale, Taroom sold Santa steers to 301c/kg, reaching a top of $1,088 to average $916.

Gary and Carol Schefe Family Trust, Roma sold Santa steers to 290c/kg, reaching a top of $1,308 to average $1,308.

Mooga Hills Grazing Co, Ok, Roma sold Santa cross steers to 290c/kg, reaching a top of $1,008 to average $1,008. The Santa cross heifers sold to 253c/kg, reaching a top of $826, to average $826.

Heifers under 220kg topped at 212c/kg and averaged 190c/kg, while heifers in the 220 – 280kg range topped at 254c/kg and averaged 218c/kg.

Heifers in the 280- 350kg range topped at 270c/kg, averaging 239c/kg. Heifers in the 350-450kg range topped at 260c/kg, averaging 238c/kg.

W & K Brown, Booralie, Roma sold Angus heifers to 269c/kg reaching a top of $1,395 to average $820.

William & Tessa Clemesha, Sunset Valley, Bollon sold Angus cross heifers to 266c/kg, reaching a top of $768 to average $663.

Gwenbrook Farms, Roma sold Santa heifers to 260c/kg, reaching a top of $1,039 to average $983.

R & G Mobbs, Wallambank, Bollon sold PTIC Charolais cross heifers to 258c/kg, reaching a top of $1,213 to average $1,150.

Cows in the 300-400kg range reached 220c/kg and averaged 170c/kg, while cows in the 400kg-500kg range reached 229c/kg and averaged 195c/kg.

Cows over 500kg topped at 247c/kg, averaging 219c/kg.

AR & SM Russell, Gladysvale, Augathella sold Brahman cross cows to 245c/kg, reaching a top of $1,370 to average $1,241.
