Yarding 5915 Change -559

Cattle numbers fell slightly, down by 559 head to 5,915 at the Roma Store Sale.

Cattle were again drawn from a wide supply area with numbers from Western and North West Queensland, and the overall quality of the yarding was good with some variation due to content.

The usual buying panel was present and operating and including all regular processors.

Steers accounted for over half the yarding with several large single vendor bred lines present.

Demand remained firm with quality cattle selling to strong competition, and prices were reflective of quality variations. Overall the market eased with steers mostly falling, while heifers improved in places.
