Roma agents penned 5,276 head up by 2,426 head at their weekly store sale with cattle drawn from north west New South Wales far western Queensland and the local supply area.

All the usual processors were present along with the regular feeder buyers plus a large gallery of restockers.

Yearling steers returning to the paddock sold to prices that mirrored last week as did the yearling heifers however good heavy cows eased in price by a further 6c/kg.

Light weight restocker steers sold to 596c to average 526c/kg. Yearling steers in the 280- 400kg range to restockers averaged from 466c to 473c/kg and sold 564c/kg.

Heavy yearling steers to feed made 446c to average 390/kg. Light weight restocker heifers made 430c to average 406c/kg.

Yearling heifers over 280kg made 450c to average 416c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed averaged 374c and sold to 408c/kg.

Young bullocks over 600kg sold to 355c to average 350c with the lighter grown steers selling to 362c/kg.

Full mouth bullocks sold to 346c and averaged 304c/kg. Grown heifers to processors made 366c to average 351c/kg.

Good heavy score 3 and 4 cows sold from 260c to 296c/kg and averaged 284c/kg.

Heavy bulls to processors averaged 278c and sold to 300c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers made 486c to average 418c/kg.

Cows and calves sold to $2680/unit.

Weaner steers under 200kg topped at 604c/kg and averaged 566c/kg, weaner steers in the 200-280kg range reached 568c/kg and averaged 517c/kg. Steers in the 280-330kg range reached 564c/kg and averaged 486c/kg, and steers in the 330-400kg range reached 548c/kg and averaged 422c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-500kg range topping at 448c/kg and averaging 388c/kg.

Brekan Past, Warragul Springs, Tingun sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 564c/kg, reaching a top of $1,400 to average $1,371.

S.D. & M.J. Russell, Wodonga, Mungallala sold Charolais cross steers to 554c/kg, reaching a top of $1,670 to average $1,575. The Charolais cross heifers sold to 436c/kg, reaching a top of $1,179 to average $1,117.

Dart Pastoral Company, Thirlstone, Roma sold Charolais cross steers to 548c/kg, reaching a top of $1,778 to average $1,684.

AM, JR & KJ Lamb, Cushnie, Taroom sold Angus steers to 506c/kg, reaching a top of $1,663 to average $1,465. The Brahman cross heifers sold to 378c/kg, reaching a top of $1,185 to average $873.

RA & KA Crozier, Lynton Hills, Charleville sold Angus cross steers to 500c/kg, reaching a top of $1,468 to average $1,421. The Angus cross heifers sold to 320c/kg, reaching a top of $824 to average $824.

GHI Cattle Company, Strathmore, Dulacca sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 498c/kg, reaching a top of $1,567 to average $1,509.

HJT Family Trust, De-Ankerr, Yuleba sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 482c/kg, reaching a top of $1,668 to average $1,644. The Charolais cross heifers sold to 396c/kg, reaching a top of $1,353 to average $1,299.

Heifers in the 400-500kg range topped at 386c/kg, averaging 325c/kg.
