With scattered showers Roma agents yarded 2,575 head. The market showed improvement on most descriptions.

The regular processors in attendance’s and operating especially on better finished bullocks and heavy heifers, with cows firm to slightly stronger.

Light weight yearling steers under 200kg sold to 282c/kg. Yearling steers under 280kg made to 356c to average 314c/kg. Yearling steers under 330kg averaged 311c topping at 356c/kg. Medium weight steers under 400kg topped at 338c/kg with the over 400kg made to 267c and averaged 263c/kg.

Light weight yearling heifers under 200kg made from 200c to 280c to average 257c/kg. Yearling heifers under 280kg topped at 290c and averaged 264c/kg. Yearling heifers under 330kg made to 270c and averaged 253c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers under 400kg averaged 227c topping at 240c/kg. Heavy weight yearling heifers over 400kg made from 191c to 210c/kg.

Manufacturing bullocks made from 140c to 245c/kg to average 220c/kg. Grown steers 400 to 500kg made to 242c with the 500 to 600kg selling to 242c/kg. Grown steers over 600kg made from 240c with grain assisted bullocks to 267c/kg.

The 2 score cows 400 to 520kg made from 120c to 193c to average 176c/kg. The 3 score cows over 520kg sold to 220c and averaged 205c/kg.

Light weight bulls under 450kg sold to 300c with the best of the heavy weight bulls selling to 235c to average 219c/kg.

Weaner steers under 200kg topped at 302c/kg and averaged 279c/kg, weaner steers in the 200-280kg range reached 356c/kg and averaged 308c/kg. Steers in the 280-330kg range reached 338c/kg and averaged 301c/kg, and steers in the 330-400kg range reached 278c/kg and averaged 250c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-500kg range topped at 258c/kg and averaged 226c/kg.

Barns Pastoral, Gidgealpa Station, Innaminchka sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 356c/kg, reaching a top of $969 to average $871.  The Santa Gertrudis cross heifers sold to 288c/kg, reaching a top of $800 to average $639.

H Sommerfield & Son, Canegrass Station sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 340c/kg, reaching a top of $980 to average $828.

M & K Hudson, Tongy, Mitchell sold Crossbred steers to 336c/kg, reaching a top of $927 to average $878.  The Crossbred Heifers sold to 290c/kg, reaching a top of $799 to average $703.

EJ & CF Rolfe, Marie Downs, Roma sold Angus cross steers to 328c/kg, reaching a top of $965 to average $899.

Andrew Welsh, Alcurah Creek, Roma sold cross steers sold to 292c/kg, reaching a top of $898 to average $828.  The Santa Gertrudis cross heifers sold to 256c/kg, reaching a top of $660 to average $624.

B & M Murray, Toalki, Surat sold Charolais cross steers to 267c/kg, reaching a top of $1,632 to average $1,457.  The Charolais cross heifers sold to $255c/kg, reaching a top of $1,351 to average $1,351.

Ferguson Cattle Co, Annie-vale, Roma, sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 258c/kg, reaching a top of $1,819 to average $1,766.

NR Harland & G Humphreys, Barradine, Roma sold Charolais cross steers to 258c/kg, reaching a top of $1,045 to average $1,045.  The Charolais cross heifers sold to 246c/kg to top $834 to average $803.

Heifers under 200kg topped at 282c/kg and averaged 245c/kg, while heifers in the 200-280kg range topped at 290c/kg and averaged 244c/kg. Heifers in the 280-330kg range topped at 270c/kg, averaging 232c/kg. Heifers in the 330-400kg range topped at 246c/kg, averaging 207c/kg. Heifers in the 400-500kg range topped at 230c/kg, averaging 212c/kg.

Ularunda Grazing, Morven sold Angus cross heifers to 288c/kg, reaching a top of $605 to average $486.

LJ & LG Crosby, Glen Olive, Miles sold Charolais cross heifers to $282c/kg, reaching a top of $640 to average $567.

BM & ND Bauer, Arlington, Augathella sold Simmental cross heifers to 270c/kg, reaching a top of $787 to average $653.

Cows in the 330-400kg range reached 193c/kg and averaged 160c/kg. Cows in the 400-500kg range topped at 236c/kg, averaging 182c/kg. Cows in the 500-600kg range topped at 220c/kg, averaging 191c/kg. Cows over 600kg topped at 220c/kg, averaging 197c/kg.

Barns Pastoral, Gidgealpa Station sold Brahman cross cows to 220c/kg, reaching a top of $1,195 to average $1,195.

Bass Cattle Co., Muldoon, Mungallala sold Santa Gertrudis bulls to 235c/kg, reaching a top of $2,149 to average $1,887
