Quality was exceptional with newly weaned calves in good condition after a good season dominating the market impressing the buyers, all of whom were present and operating. The majority of cows were going to processors with a small portion purchased by restockers due to the strength in the market.
Steers under 220kg made to a top of 430.2c to average 403c/kg. Steers in the 220-350kg range made to 416.2c to average 372c/kg. Steers 350-550kg made to 386.2c to average 330c/kg. Steers over 550kg made to 298.2c to average 267c/kg.
Heifers 220-350kg made to a top of 364.2c to average 361c, while heifers over 450kg made to 290c/kg. Heavy cows made to a top of 250c to average 229c/kg across the board. Cows with calves at foot topped at $1,625/head. Bulls under 400kg made to a top of 336c and heavy bulls made to a top of 268c/kg.
