Yarding 10,200 Change 5874
The annual big run of vendor bred weaners lifted total supply to 10,200 head at the Roma store sale.
A much larger number of buyers were in attendance and provided stronger competition as the last of the big vendor bred lines draws to a close. Overall quality was generally good and included in the line-up was some consignments of very well bred lines. Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock struggle to maintain recent price levels and the light weight heifer portion also returning to the paddock sold to a cheaper market. However feeder classes of yearling steers lifted in price by 7c to 20c/kg and considerably more in places and the heifer portion followed a similar trend. A large selection of cows lifted in price by 10c and over 20c/kg in places.
