Weekly Roma Store Sale press report:
A total of 4100 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Store Sale on Tuesday.
Weaners under 220kg topped at 190c/kg and averaged 159c/kg, while weaner steers in the 220-280kg range reached 180c/kg and averaged 156c/kg. Steers in the 280-350kg range reached 186c/kg and averaged 155c/kg, and steers in the 350-400kg range reached 171c/kg and averaged 148c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at 155c/kg and averaging 144c/kg.
Ray Mayne, Killarney Park, Tambo, sold Santa steers to 190c/kg for 210kg to return $401/head. He also sold Santa heifers to 156c for 297kg to make $464.
The Pampling family, Derbyshire Downs, Augathella, sold Charbray steers to 180c for 336kg to make $605 and averaged 178c for 297kg to $529.
The Hall family, Allawah, Lightning Ridge, sold Santa steers to 179c for 307kg to return $551.
Katelyn Grazing, Lyndale, Wandoan, sold EU Angus steers to 178c for 308kg to make $548.
Tom Walker, Bongwarra, Injune, sold Limousin-cross steers to 178c for 268kg to return $479.
