Weaners under 220kg topped at 212c/kg and averaged 166c/kg, while weaner steers in the 220-280kg range reached 196c/kg and averaged 161c/kg. Steers in the 280-350kg range reached 181c/kg and averaged 157c/kg, and steers in the 350-400kg range reached 181c/kg and averaged 159c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at 173c/kg and averaging 163c/kg.

J & J Chandler, Kyneton, Barcaldine, sold Santa steers to 212c/kg for 161kg to return $341/head. The consignment averaged 200c for 205kg to make $410.

Peel Northampton Downs, Northampton Downs, Blackall, sold Santa steers to 196c for 232kg to return $455. The consignment averaged 194c for 209kg to make $405.

Fenton Grazing Trust, Fenton, Mungindi, sold EU Angus-cross steers to 190c for 263kg to return $501. The consignment averaged 172c for 314kg to make $522.
