Roma Store 10 Sep 2013: Weaners to 195c

A total of 9300 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Store Sale on Tuesday.

Weaners under 220kg topped at 188c/kg and averaged 158c/kg, while weaner steers in the 220-280kg range reached 195c/kg and averaged 159c/kg. Steers in the 280-350kg range reached 170c/kg and averaged 156c/kg, and steers in the 350-400kg range reached 170c/kg and averaged 153c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at 173c/kg and averaging 155c/kg.

Peel Mungerie, Inverness, Blackall, sold Santa steers to 195c/kg for 241kg to return $470/head with the consignment averaging 187c for 239kg to make $447. The Santa heifers sold to 136c for 311kg to return $424 with the consignment averaging 127c for 248kg to make $314.  

S Kidman & Co, Morney Plains, Windorah, sold Santa-cross steers to 188c for 166kg to return $313 with the consignment averaging 183c for 177kg to make $323.

Ambo Grazing Co, Ambo Station, Longreach, sold Santa steers to 182c for 227kg to return $415 with the consignment averaging 178c for 201kg to make $358.

Layershire, Koorandai, Roma, sold Angus-cross steers to 180c for 190kg to return $342 with the consignment averaging 169c for 215kg to make $364.

R & M Hay, Kismet, Jericho, sold Santa-cross steers to 174c for 244kg to return $425 with the consignment averaging 166c for 241kg to make $399.

Institutional Investments, Toarki, Roma, sold Brangus-cross steers to 170c for 335kg to return $571 with the consignment averaging 169c for 282kg to make $474.

Ian Brumpton Holdings sold Angus steers to 168c for 300kg to return $505 with the consignment averaging 168c for 288kg to make $482.

Bruce Walker, Ashmound, Muckadilla, sold Charolais-cross steers to 167c for 317kg to return $530 with the consignment averaging 165c for 285kg to make $470. 

The Smith family, Iona, Wallumbilla, sold Charolais-cross steers to 163c for 447kg to return $730. 

P & S Joliffe, Walhallow, Amby, sold Santa steers to 163c for 353kg to return $576.

Dart Pastoral Co, Thirlstone, Roma, sold Charbray steers to 163c for 370kg to return $604 with the consignment averaging 155c for 353kg to make $546. 

Landers Grazing Co, Dalmar, Aramac, sold Santa steers to 162c for 396kg to return $643 with the consignment averaging 158c for 368kg to make $582. The Santa heifers topped at 128c for 393kg to return $504 with the consignment averaging 124c for 318kg to make $394.

E & C Rolfe, Nindinna, Roma, sold Charolais steers to 162c for 306kg to return $497 with the consignment averaging 159c for 306kg to make $488. The Charolais-cross heifers reached 130c for 317kg to return $413 with the consignment averaging 129c for 303kg to make $391.

M & B Gobbert, Amboola, Mitchell, sold Droughtmaster steers to 161c for 145kg to return $234 with the consignment averaging 155c for 174kg to make $267. 

Rowdy Rawlins, South Cooinda, Roma, sold steers to 158c for 440kg to return $695 with the consignment averaging 155c for 380kg to make $588.  

Heifers in the 350-450kg range reached 131/kg and averaged 118c/kg.

Heifers in the 280-350kg range topped at 140c/kg and averaged 121c/kg.

Heifers in the 220-280kg range topped at 133c/kg and averaged 120c/kg, while heifers under 220kg topped at 143c/kg and averaged 123c/kg.

Weemabah, Moombidary, Hungerford, sold Brahman-cross heifers to 133c for 238kg to return $317 with the consignment averaging 127c for 252kg to make $319. 

John Crook-King, Pendine Station, Barcaldine, sold Santa heifers to 125c for 426kg to return $533 with the consignment averaging 122c for 372kg to make $453. 

Cows over 500kg hit 130c/kg and averaged 118c/kg, while cows 400-500kg topped at 128c/kg and averaged 94c/kg. Cows in the 300-400kg sold to 106c/kg and averaged 63c/kg.

A large line of PTIC cows were penned and sold to $520/head to average around $440/head across all red and blue tag cows. 

Cows and calves N/A.

Bulls up to 400kg reached 170c/kg and average 120c/kg.
