Very little change in numbers however yearling steers were prominent in numbers as heifers were down 700 head. All buyers, including several restockers, were operating offering plenty of competition as the prices held firm or stronger in places due to the recent rain.

Steer calves topped at 396c to average 375c/kg. Well-bred heifer calves reached 358c with a large sample of heifer calves averaging 343c/kg. Light weight steers to the restockers made to 406c to average 367c/kg. Lesser quality light weight steers topped at 324c to average 300c/kg. Medium weight trade steers to feed made to 344c to average 320c/kg. Drought affected far western district light weight heifers topped at 330c/kg. Better condition heifers to feed or restockers reached 346c to average 323c/kg. Trade Heifers to feed topped at 296c to average 290c/kg.

Heavy grown steers to export slaughter made to 296c and bullocks averaged 290c/kg. Medium weight 3 score cows averaged 225c and good heavy cows made to 247c to average 238c/kg. Light bulls topped at 358c to average 354c and heavy bulls made to 269c to average 257c/kg.

Weaner steers under 220kg topped at 406c/kg and averaged 375c/kg, weaner steers in the 220-280kg range also reached 406c/kg and averaged 345c/kg. Steers in the 280-350kg range reached 376c/kg and averaged 323c/kg, and steers in the 350- 400kg range reached 330c/kg and averaged 309c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400- 550kg range topped at 310c/kg and averaged 298c/kg.

Cows and calves hit $1,710/unit.
