PTIC Santa heifers to $1018 at AA Co Roma breeder sale

Picture: Martin BunyardRestockers competed in volume for a yarding of 3493 breeders at the Australian Agricultural Company’s special store sale at Roma on Friday.

Bidding was spirited according to the National Livestock Reporting Service with processors out-competed by restockers on most lines of PTIC cows.

Good quality Santa Gertrudis PTIC heifers, over six months in calf, topped at 204c/kg to return $1018/head on average.

The good quality Santa Gertrudis heifers under 6 months in calf sold to 196c/kg to make $973/head on average.
