Selling action at Wodonga.

Numbers dipped moderately however, quality declined and buyers became quite selective because of the plainer offering.

Most of the usual export and domestic buyers were at the sale.

The reduced supply of vealers sold to mixed demand. The bulk of the vealers made from 268 to 450c/kg. Yearling trade steers were few and buying competition fluctuated. The bulk selling at 290c to 360c/kg. The heifer portion sold to erratic competition making from 281c to 318c/kg. Feeder heifers medium weight slipped 12c to average 299c/kg.

In the export sale not all processors operated. Heavy bullocks softened 4c making from 308c to 326c/kg. Heavy steers slipped 30c some of the falls were related to quality. Prices ranged from 291c to 350c/kg. The small offering of cows pressured buyer into bidding strongly. The better finished heavy types of cows were 5c to 6c dearer selling from 268c to 285c/kg. Heavy bulls sold at 250c to 308c/kg.
