Yarding 4350 Change +650

Gunnedah penned 4350 good quality cattle an increase of 650 head. The regular buyers attended and operated. Yearling steers selling to mostly dearer trends heifers varied with the heavy drafts strong.

Light steers to background dearer 365c to 580c/kg. Medium feeders to 12c/kg better 392c to 594c/kg and similar background steers considerably dearer 430c to 572c/kg. Feeder steers over 480kgs 428c to 526c/kg. Similar weight steers to process significantly dearer 430c to 521c/kg. Light background heifers were much dearer 452c to 470c/kg. Medium feeders slipped 5c/kg 352c to 472c/kg. Feeders up to 480kgs gained 4c/kg 402c to 478c/kg.

Grown steers to process 350c to 474c/kg and heifers to 540kgs to process 340c to 362c/kg. Medium cows dearer 220c to 350c/kg. Heavy cows lost up to 17c/kg 370c to 396c/kg. Heavy bulls cheaper selling up to 348c/kg.
