Yarding 3460 Change -540

Gunnedah penned 3460 good quality cattle a decrease of 540 head. The regular buyers attended alongside an extra heavy processing heifer buyer. Southern cow and feeder buyers attended. Trends varied to the dearer side for feeders and cows.

Light background steers dearer 466c to 528c/kg the heavier drafts of feeders also dearer 480c to 488c/kg. Medium steers 440c to 553c/kg. Heavy feeders gained 6c/kg 446c to 542c/kg. Heavy processor steers lifted 4c/kg 480c to 498c/kg. Light background heifers much dearer selling to 462c/kg. Medium feeders gained slightly 416c to 490c/kg. Similar weights to background to 417c/kg. Heavy feeders back 3c/kg 455c to 470c/kg.

Grown heifers to process up 22c/kg 425c to 472c/kg. Medium cows to 31c/kg better 320c to 375c/kg. Three and four score cows 2c to 8c/kg better 344c to 445c/kg. Heavy bulls dearer 300c to 378c/kg.
