Yarding 3700 Change +2120

Gunnedah numbers increased by 2120 head to offer 3700 mixed quality cattle due to no sale last week with flood conditions prevailing at the saleyards and the drawing area. The regular buyers attended alongside two extra cow operators and the return of a domestic buyer. Trends varied with quality a factor.

Light steers to background 370c to 460c/kg. Similar feeders 406c to 540c/kg. Medium feeders slipped 6c/kg with plainer types affecting averages 400c to 600c/kg. Feeders over 480kgs were dearer 470c to 515c/kg. Heifers up to 280kgs to feed were dearer 362c to 471c/kg. Medium feeders 3c/kg cheaper 374c to 466c/kg. Feeders to 480kgs lifted 12c/kg 388c to 482c/kg. Similar processing heifers 416c to 462c/kg.

Grown heifers over 480kgs  to process gained 12c/kg 392c to 429c/kg. Medium cows were dearer 320c to 360c/kg. Three score cows lifted slightly 326c to 379c/kg. Heavy four score cows to a cheaper trend 380c to 423c/kg. Heavy bulls marginally dearer 332c to 388c/kg.
