Numbers eased slightly and the quality of the cattle was good with good numbers of trade and feeder cattle with weight and condition. There were a few weaners and grown steers and heifers were well supplied but heavy bullocks were limited. The cows were in good condition and most were heavy weights. The market sold to stronger trends.
Weaner steers reached 616c and heifers 500c/kg. Feeder steers were 12c to 18c stronger selling from 466c to 576c/kg for most of the medium weight feeder and heavy weights reached 550c/kg. Feeder heifers gained 15c to 20c with the bulk of the medium and heavy weights selling from 450c to 509c/kg. Trade steers ranged from 480c to 522 and the heifers 470c to 510c/kg.
Grown steers and bullocks were 15c to 20c dearer selling from 470c to 529 and the heavy grown heifers 460c to 490c/kg. The cows were a good 20c to 25c better with the heavy weighst 3 and 4 score 384c to 428c and leaner and lighter 2 score cows 320c to 395c/kg.
