
Yarding 11,016 Change +831
The large numbers keep rolling in with another yarding of well in excess of 11,000 cattle creating a new record sized yarding for Dubbo. It was a good quality yarding with good numbers of prime cattle in all sections along with plenty of cattle to suit the feeders and backgrounders. Not all the regular feeders and backgrounders were operating though most of the normal processor buyers were active.
Young cattle to the trade were 12c cheaper with the prime vealers and yearlings selling from 380c to 500c/kg. Feeder steers were 12c cheaper while the feeder heifers were up to 23c/kg cheaper. Feeder steers sold from 448c to 518c while the feeder heifers sold from 365c to 489c/kg. Young steers to the restockers were 15c cheaper while the young restocker heifers were firm. The young steers sold to 568c and the young heifers sold to 500c/kg.
Grown steers and heifers finished 15c cheaper with the prime grown steers selling from 438c to 489c while the prime grown heifers sold from 405c to 470c/kg. Cows finished 4c to 9c dearer with the 3 scores to the processors selling from 350c to 402c/kg. Prime heavy weight cows sold from 380c to 431c to average 407c/kg. Cows to the restockers sold from 272c to 398c/kg. Heavy bulls were dearer selling to 424c/kg.
