
Yarding 3720 Change -3610
Following the useful falls of rain in most of the drawing area numbers were back considerably on the expected draw for a yarding of 3720. It was a good quality yarding with good numbers of prime cattle in all sections. There were also fair numbers of cattle to suit the feeders and backgrounders along with good numbers of cows.
Young cattle to the trade were around firm with prime vealers and yearlings selling from 452c to 500c/kg. Feeder steers were 8c dearer while the feeder heifers finished 14c to 25c/kg dearer. Feeder steers sold from 428c to 559c while the feeder heifers sold from 414c to 504c/kg. Young cattle to the restockers commenced on a cheaper note but gained momentum as the sale progressed finishing 15c to 20c/kg dearer. Young restocker steers sold to 620c while the young heifers going back to the paddock sold to 474c/kg.
Grown steers and heifers were 2c to 6c dearer with the prime grown steers selling from 470c to 511c while the prime grown heifers sold from 424c to 484c/kg. Cows finished 8c dearer with the 3 scores selling from 323c to 370c/kg. Prime heavy weight cows sold from 347c to 420c to average 395c/kg. Cows to the restockers sold from 354c to 394c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 398c/kg.
