Dubbo sale 20 Nov 2025: Yarding hits record high

A new record yarding for Dubbo has been set with the agents yarding a total of 10,185 cattle. It was a fair to good quality yarding with good numbers of prime cattle in all sections along with good numbers to suit the feeders and backgrounders. There were also fair numbers of plainer condition cattle in from the far west. A full field of buyers were operating in a solid market.

Young cattle to the trade were firm with the prime vealers and yearlings selling from 420c to 494c/kg. Feeder steers were 3c to 6c dearer while the feeder heifers were up to 12c/kg dearer. Feeder steers sold from 410c to 523c while the feeder heifers sold from 420c to 506c/kg. Young cattle to the restockers and backgrounders were dearer with the young steers selling to 600c while the young restocker heifers sold to 482c/kg.

Grown steers and heifers finished 8c dearer with the prime grown steers selling from 430c to 502c/kg. Prime grown heifers sold from 430c to 492c/kg. Secondary cows were firm while the prime heavy weights were 5c/kg cheaper. 3 scores to the processors sold from 326c to 405c while the prime heavy weight cows sold from 384c to 425c to average 403c/kg.  Cows to the restockers sold from 280c to 359c and the feeders paid 388c/kg for cows to go into the feedlot. Heavy bulls sold to 395c/kg.
